Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
i get the logic in moving back and acquiring more picks and i have total faith in hunter and the scouts making the most of it, but fuck, it definitely stung being in a position to grab konecny and then give it away.
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
i'd like to go sprong, but im thinking they go D - kylington or carlo
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
One of those 3 or Harkins works for me. None of those guys would have been a reach at 24 and we picked up 61 and 68. Konecny or Merckley would have been nice but I'd rather 3 prospects right now.anton wroteCOLONi'd like to go sprong, but im thinking they go D - kylington or carlo
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
I'd just like to take a moment to pronounce my love for Ron Hextall. I believed in you and you came thru. Not only did you bring me Provorov, but Konecky as well? I'm so excited I can barely breathe.
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
WTF, Boston?
Edit: Also, I think Anton wants back into the league.

That was weird they did that. They couldn't hold their water for another 10 or 15 minutes.

Pretty happy Barzal Is an isle never saw it a possibility but to have my boy go to my #2 team. With their up and coming strong offensive core. It's pretty ideal

Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
The Isles did well. I don't know if they do what they did if Barzal doesn't fall to the Edmonton pick.
Obviously, the Oilers and Sabres won Day 1. I think Buffalo is going to be dramatically better heading into '15-16. Two impactful trades plus Evander Kane still hasn't played a game for them. I don't think they'll be a playoff team but they're a lot closer to the playoffs than playing for a high lottery pick. The Oilers are too soon to tell. I want to see what Chiarelli does for them in net.
Probably won't be as many impactful trades as Day 1 but I think Day 2 could kick some ass. Day 1 was outstanding.

Loved the deal for the isles. Griff was expendable.

With him being a UFA at the end of the year I figured he would be cheap, but not this cheap. I figured there would some kind of bonus if he resigns with CAR.

Probably easier to move with that contract. He'd be a decent #2 somewhere.

That's a lot of years but I'm sure that what he's looking for. The cap hit is very reasonable though.
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Reinhart and 72 for Barzal and Beauvillier were great moves. Reinhart hasn't developed like his peers in that draft class and his connection to Oilers management is likely the reason he cost so much. The gap between him and Hamilton should be WAY more than one extra 2nd.foofnik wroteCOLON+1Fraser wroteCOLONPretty happy Barzal Is an isle never saw it a possibility but to have my boy go to my #2 team.
