I think Steve wins but a few thoughts:

Andy Greene + Clifford cannot be turned into a defender like Giordano or Keith or Fowler. This meant I was safe from cycle rape.

Kadri is a great piece but Kadri + Greene was unable to land me a worse C + a solid D like Keith which was another from of cycle rape.

That really meant this came down to the 3 pieces. Kadri + Greene produce more stars than Subban. But I had 23 skaters.

Subban's stats are anomalies in many categories. I can replace greene's SHTOI and Kadri's points in the aggregate.

Also building my d core around points and this was the final piece needed: Subban, Mcdonagh, Fowler, Carlson, Goligoski.

Happy to pay up . Steve is fully capable of turning this into cycle rape but I did my homework. It will take a lot. The better thing to do would be to hold the players and trade them during the season when stats are valued high

I dont do cycles. Kadri was a player I wanted just because I think he'll do wonders under babs.

I only paid kesler for subban anyways. So no gain or loss by me.

No faith in Kadri from a leafs perspective - just don't like his game tbh... hope you're right steve. But fair trade overall. Think I prefer the PK end but greene is definitely underrated. Definitely solid value going both ways.

Yeah, I could understand this deal from a different teams pov, but steve has so much depth in his lineup that downgrading a guy like subban seems odd. But otherwise pretty fair i guess.

dunno about that. i think guys might overrate him because of his shtoi. he kills that category and blocks, but everywhere else is pretty underwhelming.

I find that most people don't value him at all. It's going to be difficult to keep his statistical output up for much longer. Fair deal though.
