I didn't think the offers were bad. I wouldn't have moved him if I thought they were. Now with a different cap situation I likely wouldn't have been interested/valued a big cap savings as much, but that is my own mistake.

If this deal was beck + 2nd everyone would say it's fine. In practical terms I don't think this is much different yet it is likely

Shiv's deal had great value on smith from my Pov but had me adding beulieu and I'm not ready to see that ship leave just yet.

Even Steve's deal had good value of smith - but the future piece I'm just not ready to give up to save cap. All 3 seemed okay to me.
