You likely only did this to try and juice tony for assets.
I did it because SJS have a poor goaltending situation and Grosenick is on a one way deal next year. I am keeping an AHL goaltender on my roster all year to maybe make some profit next year.
If you can't handle a bit of shit talking and competitiveness maybe you should be the one to leave. I've spent years building my team to a competitive point and I don't piss around with political correct horse shit. I'll do what I can to make my team better and you can bugger off.
I'm "vermin". That is fantastic lol. For claiming someone put on waivers, when people clearly know that anyone on waivers is free for the taking. I didn't put Tokarski on because I knew he would be claimed.
Ya lee makes a point re: backstrom though he has little value going forward. Just the principle behind the move is brutal. 28 other guys coulda put in a claim but they didn't. But hearing about all the shenanigans he's pulled in the past I'm not surprised. The guy is pretty ruthless. Guess you can commend him for it but definitely not a likeable characteristic.
More than anything feel bad for tony but he has to grow a pair and realize SJS is just a rough goalie situation and this league is getting more and more competitive. He's got the brunt end of it but really grosenick isn't that good and dell is likely gonna pass him so not a big loss. Hopefully he gets over it.
As far to the point of trading him back to Tony, and then Tony having to expose him to waivers to send him back down again: Yes. He would have to. And I would claim him again. That would force Tony to keep him on his roster. You see, Tony is a competitor in the Eastern conference. The same conference as I. Him having Grosenick on his roster takes away a slot for a waiver ineligible player. I currently have quite a few waiver exempt players, so having Grosenick on my roster really doesn't matter to me. It may hurt Tony. It's a competitive advantage. As Mike said, I'm not just "holding onto" Grosenick for Tony.
Instead. I'll hold onto him to see if his value will increase.
