I like this for Darkness. I dont think Reinhart is gonna be an amazing bbkl'er. At least the gap between him and Fabbri wont be huge...Fabbri is currently scoring at a better pace in junior, although they are in different leagues. And fabbri will be playing with a pretty talented group in St Louis eventually. Is the difference really a quality dman (Darkness now has a pretty great young d-core) and a 1st? Parayko is a queston mark but could be large puck mover.

Fabbri has a chance to be a better bbkl'er than Reinhart, but i think this really comes down to what that 1st turns into long term. if its a top 6 forward i like this for Darkness, but either way, he needed to expand assets and he did that.

Obviously I disagree with the bolded, or I would have never made this move. Personally I see Reinhart as the exact mould of center I was looking to build around. Should be a guy who plays in all situations, and a contributor across the board in stat categories. I see him being the future leader of the Sabres Penalty kill, and riding power play time with whichever elite center they draft this year. I have been trying to bring in a center like Reinhart since I joined this league, and they have proven to be unavailable. You can get centers who contribute across the board, but for the most part only older centers are made available who are likely to decline within a couple years. People hold onto their young Centers pretty tightly in the BBKL and while I had to pay a premium, I got the guy I wanted to center my re-build around.

You're probably right. Overall likely a fairly even trade when all is said and done and fits both team needs, assuming every player hits the conservative projection of himself. Again, depends on the STL first. If that ends up as a...lets randomly choose 16th...and look at the 5 drafts between 2013-2009: Zadorov(2013), Wilson(2012), Armia(2011), Tarasenko(2010), Leddy(2009). It could be a really good player(tarasenko, Zadorov) or just meh player(Wilson, Armia).

Agreed. I didn't initially offer the STL pick. But it became a requirement to get it done. Should be a real good player. But the fact I'm holding two top 10's and 2 others in the top 40. It lightens the blow.
