With the hype surrounding Reilly in the offseason he has been a pretty big disappointment. -25 in 25 games in the AHL is ugly. Iowa is bad and his 11pts is only 3 behind the team leading 14, but it seems like he has to improve defensively quite a bit to be an NHLerFraser wroteCOLONPersonally I think you are underrating Reilly considerably if you don't see him as a lock. Yea new player to the NHL, but he has a very NHL ready game from what I've seen.
He put up similar NCAA stats to Schultz and he had 48pts in 34 AHL games at that age.

Yup definitely disappointed saw him being a contributor in the NHL for me from day 1 this year. That being said having a longer development curve than originally anticipated doesn't necessarily make all the hype around him unjustified long term.
