Tierney...Donskoi...
Tierney...Donskoi...
As someone wisely stated some time ago during my BBKL tenureship: "Rebuilding or contending, no player should be locked for 'keeps'. Every player should be on sale at all times and regardless of the length of time after acquisition"
Above quote only works if league is active with 15+ trades pumping out on a weekly basis. But people have turned into little scaredy cat maggots and see at maximum, 3 trades a week. Pathetic
I forgot where I am going with this, fuck it
Do not: offer me picks/prospects for these guys unless we're talking top 5 draft pick talent
Cap hit not an issue. Lots of space here

Re: Tierney...Donskoi...
Expecting top 5 draft talent for these types of players is exactly why we see 3 trades a week, maybe.

Re: Tierney...Donskoi...
how about offering a 2nd for Stafford. That doesn't really help trades either.Lee wroteCOLONExpecting top 5 draft talent for these types of players is exactly why we see 3 trades a week, maybe.
bit of a joke on both sides.
Re: Tierney...Donskoi...
You of all who is trying to compete probably understand why I would want that if I'm not getting any nhlers for them. The value of player in NHL with limited upside in them and the youth factor involved. Why would I trade Tierney away for no nhlers and 2nds to which I'm gonna have to wait years to develop? Tierney himself is a first round product who had to wait 2 yrs to get to NHL. That kinda trade doesn't make sense to my team. That's not rebuilding

Ole Staffy is on the value downswing of his career.

Because you have years to wait to let asset value appreciate. You constantly flop between rebuilding and "contending", where you trade young assets for old and then old for young again, and it leaves you in a cycle of spinning tires. I know, I was just as guilty of it as you are.

His stats tell the opposite story. Statistically he's a top 5 forward on my roster.
I'll tell ya what's on the downswing, a roster with a bunch of holes because GMs dont have enough players and/or enough quality players.

Thankfully, not a problem that I have. Full roster and 6-7 waiver exempt guys in the minors I can plug in at any time.

Tierney is not a 1St round product. Tierney is a late 2Nd rounder. 55th overall.kimmer wroteCOLONYou of all who is trying to compete probably understand why I would want that if I'm not getting any nhlers for them.
