You didn't. You kept asking me to make offers, who I'd make available for him, etc. And you wonder why I'd be a bit pissed for wasting my time. So yeah. That makes you an idiot.
Makes me an idiot because it took you that long to realize your error? Just laugh it off and you will feel better. You are taking me having a bit of fun at your expense way too seriously.

It's good advice. If you can't laugh at yourself, what can you laugh at?

There is no set price on anything. One GM may have gotten a certain price in the past but I don't think that may be the case now. We have a different group here with different long term views and different short term views. Different isn't bad. A given GM might pay a certain price but there could be lots of variations that go into why they may or may not do that. For example Chuck wanted the world from me for Miller but I refused his asking price. Scott felt the need to ensure that he safely met goalies GP. IMO not even close to what I was asked for but really it is simply what one GM is willing to pay, and what another GM is willing to accept. On that note Scott is always pleasant to deal with and if there is a deal i can help him with and I'm in positions to do so now or in the future I'm definitely more inclined to do. GM relations. Some may think of it as just fantasy hockey but I think of it much more as a community than just fantasy hockey.

Thank you Lee for recognizing that. The Columbus 3rd currently would be the 73rd overall pick and I've basically jumped 40 spots to just outside the 1st round.

Sorry for not being greedier than some other GMs but I had no 2nd round picks and now I grab one just outside the 1st. Raanta seems like a decent goalie but I don't get the obsession over him.

The idea of market price of (backup) goalies is a bit warped.

Yeah, I traded J.T. Brown for Anders Lindback but based on the situation with my team (owning Coyotes goalies and needing GP)...I think I'm the only team that would go anywhere near that price. Lindback is at most worth a 2nd round pick...is probably closer to a 3rd given his poor play these last two years. That would've been the price I would've preferred to pay but problem is...I didn't own a 2nd round pick at the time.

If you went around the league to the other 28 teams...nobody would've given up a decent roster player for him. Matthew took advantage of a situation where one team needed the player he had and he capitalized. It seems silly what it costs for a goalie that plays in a 1/4 of the games and now he has a blown out Achilles and never played a single game for my team.

We don't really have a market price...it's still dictated on supply and demand. If one team needs something and only one team has what that team needs...it creates an inflated value.

That's what happens when you have players people want and tons of cap space. Even after taking on Hank I have over 16+ in cap space. Some guys want to get ahead of the cap crunch while others prefer to wait. Also no I turned down other goalies deals in the past where I was asked for bigger names bc I didn't think it was worth it. How I made out has nothing to do with my statement.

When people are writing out walls of texts trying to explain themselves they either know they made out really well so they try to look modest or they know they got pumped and are trying to defend themselves.
