So did I against Toronto, Detroit, Chicago and NJ. I still dont stand a chance against the Buffalo's and Toronto's though.

I'm not a pure w-l advocate.

I'm for the w-l-otl system, where matches finishing between 9-7 the loser gets 1 point. In the NHL 23 percent of matches go to ot, and in bbkl 22.8 percent of matches finish between 9-7.

If that were the case I'd have finished with 3 of a possible 8 points.

I say leave it alone...I really liked the new schedule format and the standings look goofy but they're the truest results.

No competitiveness in this model. Standings are decided by week 3.

Standings are a lot more volatile when you have 64 different categories, not just the 4 matchups. As a bottom feeder, I'd rather take the category wins that I can scrape out instead of taking the usual 0-4 on most weeks. I feel better about winning 1/4 of the categories instead only having a handful of matchup wins out of 82.

Category wins separates those who win big or just scrape by. I'd rather see the teams that can win 13 or 14 categories in a matchup get rewarded compared those winning 8 or 9.

Yeah each system has its own set of advantages to it along with its disadvantages really IMO. At least with this if you are really good or bad it will show up thru the season
