Ekholm led all Predators defenseman in icetime in game3 vs the Sharks, while recording a primary assist to bring his playoff total this season up to 5 pts (3 goals).

He is 25 and signed for the next 6yrs at a reasonable cap hit (3.75M). Not too often guys like that are available.

Vatanen is too btw (even though ideally I'd like to know his next contract first), but keep in mind I'll probably only move 1 of my top 6 D this off-season.

Nice game. Weber, Ellis, Josi, ekholm all within a minute 35 s of each ofher.

He was 4th and 3rd in ice time in the first 2 games, by a much larger margin, however.

I can't stand such small sample sizes.

I go game-by-game sample size.

my guy scores 2 goals in one game = his price goes up.

He goes -3 the next game = bargain-bin pricing.

not with the greatest results this time around, but Ekholm did led all Preds defensemen in game 5 as well, playing 2' more than Weber among others.

Vatanen moved, Ekholm less likely to leave as a result, Colborne & c still on the block.

rumours are Ekholm is indeed going to be traded today:
