Like, I don't see why he wants to come back. He hasn't changed, at all. He made me an offer last night before it was announced that he was coming back. I replied saying he isn't GM and his exact response was:

Not sure what nn means.. so.. yeah. His time away hasn't made him any less of a twat.

well at least the argument he quit to then come back to a different better team can't be used, and I believe that's the #1 reason for the 1 year ban for those who leave.

He had intentions to leave but basically never did, so I don't think we're going against the 1 year ban rule by allowing him to keep going with CAR

Essentially this would be my worry.

Again, it would be more of a cap dumping trade than anything...where he gets a quality player for a prospect.
