Scott can we have the salary cap box (the one that was named 'summary') back to where it was in previous seasons? So that when you edit the lineup you can look immediately at how the move changed things...

Thanks for your time setting this up Scott. You and a couple other guys are the real backbone that keeps this league going. Will fill out later on.

I did see your other post about this...I wasn't not ignoring you. It's just where it is now. If you look at how I set up the columns, it's in a logical spot and all the math is done in that same column with the salaries for the lineup (column N). I basically set it up like a bank ledger. It's in the middle of the sheet now...it's not impossible to find. The layout is a bit different from before but everything is in a logical place. We've got spots for 90 players...it's going to require some scrolling no matter what,

actually it doesn't, thanks to that weekly lineup column most of the times you wouldn't need to scroll down if not for the current placement of the salary cap box.
Its current placement might seem logical from a layout/theoretical standpoint, but I don't think it's logical from a functionality standpoint when it partially negates the purpose of such box, as it should show you how the payroll moves against the cap while you adjust your weekly lineup. Might not be a big deal, but I don't see why not having it in its most functional & handy place.

Just keeping it to a handful of teams for right now to work out the bugs with this new setup.

First of all, don't copy "Roster". Your weekly sheets will reference "Roster". "Roster" references the main database using a hidden sheet called "Players"...that's the sheet importing the info from the database.

Second of all, you can't put your "A" or "C" for you captains next to player names because the data is looking for names entered a particular way. (ie--Don't put David Backes "C"...just use David Backes.)

The "Roster" page serves two purposes...it's an overview of your roster with all the player and salary info but it also serves as a filter for the weekly sheets. Those weekly sheets don't reference the full 5000 name database...it's references the 90 player list on "Roster". I tried to save the amount of time those sheets have to take to look up the information.

"Preseason" is the weekly sheet you should duplicate.

I know you like to do you own thing with your sheets but this doesn't really offer much in the way of customizing. I tried to adopt some of the stuff you like to do with the logos and country flags.

I can say with confidence that I don't have a lot of your players done on the database you're going to have a lot of blanks on your sheet. I already acknowledged that it would be the case.

I'm hoping this weekend while I'm watching the start of the Premier League season...I'll make some headway with the database. I want to get the players on your team and Josh's team and Lee's team and so on so you know that these sheets are working properly. This week, I spent a little more time than I wanted on tweaking the sheets and didn't spend enough time entering data. I'm back at it now since I'm done messing with the layout.

I'm calling this a beta test for a reason...

Not everyone digs change so I expected some push back with this. All you have to do is scroll a little...it's not a big deal.

In all honesty, the idea of roles and the line chart isn't even necessary. A sheet could just be a simple list of all your players with their salary and you just need to say if they're active, on the bench, on IR or in the minors. We don't need any of this other stuff. I think we all like to look at our lineups as if we were making a real lineup and just setting a fantasy lineup.

As much as kyuss wudnt like to admit, u know the only reason why he keeps academically pushing his opinion on it is because he simply cant masturbate to the roster change in conjunction with what he said about not having to scroll down to view the direct change in cap and players while masturbating to it so he has to take one hand off instead of holding tissues

Haven't had a chance to go through all of the workings. But I did notice some guys reference the wrong team, mostly a previous team. Don't know what that comes from it it's just something that needs to be updated?

I don't remember when I grabbed the Fantrax list originally but I'm sure there's several players on their old teams. I'm updating that as I work my way through.

When we get to the last week or so before the season, I'll expect to hear from anyone that's missing a player or is missing any information. For now, don't worry about reporting anything.
