Re: OTT / SJS

And Scott I'll slide Givani Smith to keep me at 50 contracts

Re: OTT / SJS
Hunwick is so bad, but as long as he keeps dressing he puts up decent stats so it's a nice pickup for Billy.
Re: OTT / SJS
was Smith sliding already? cause if he was not sliding at the start of the season I don't think he can now, his contract can't be 'reversed'foofnik wroteCOLONConfirmed, super easy thanks man

Re: OTT / SJS
thought guys who signed contracts midseason could be slid if eligible?

I can't quote it since the thread is locked but look at http://bbkl.ca/viewtopic.php?f=89&t=12784&start=20

PLAYERS ELIGIBLE FOR SLIDE:
- 18 and 19 years old players (i.e. not turned 20 yet) as of October 1st who have not played 10 NHL games in their career yet.
- players with 0 NHL games that get signed during the season
HOW IT WORKS
GMs can leave those players without a contract on googledoc so that their contracts do not count towards the limit (50).
Whenever a GM decides to put one of those players in the active roster (lineup or bench) he needs to add his contract on googledoc and as a result from that moment onward that player will automatically add to the total number of contracts.
Once a player is given a contract on googledoc he loses his sliding eligibility for the rest of the season.
(googledocs are locked by Mike after each week so we would have records of GMs cheating on that)

Re: OTT / SJS
I think Smith slides by default since he signed after the start of the season. We usually have it where late in the season a prospect will sign their ELC and I think those guys don't count towards your 50.
Re: OTT / SJS
sorry, I didn't know he was signed during the season and not before its start.foofnik wroteCOLONthought guys who signed contracts midseason could be slid if eligible?
This means Billy had no reasons to make it slide as no NHL contract was in place, and what you bolded (players with 0 NHL games that get signed during the season) applies, making him eligible for the slide.
Re: OTT / SJS
Hunwicks one of those players that have a job in the nhl purely because of his skating and defensive awareness. His lateral movement on skates quite good when converting from one end of neutral zone to the other
