Ryan has really struggled, but fortunately for mike you took WPG's pick and. Not CAR!

That's a saving grace

Could have chosen CAR or WPG. Typically I would pick CAR, but don't like betting against Henrik Lundqvist.
Ya could have been a big win for Nick.

Damnit I didn't realize Carolina was having such a rough season here in the BBKL...that you'd be cherry.

Ya I was wayyy too non-chalant with that in this deal. Hopefully Ryan makes his way to Vegas and does better with a change of scenery and without Canadian hockey scrutiny. But has definitely been a shitty year - especially considering when healthy he's playing with turris or brassard.

Would have been a huge win for Nick with the Carolina pick. Still a win at the moment for him though, IMO.

this deal just proves that you never really know who's gonna win a deal until the season plays out.

I'd rather have Ryan going forward. Beagle is a useful player. That pick will be somewhere in the middle third of the first round...won't really know what kind of a return that is for a couple years. Too early to call that a loss for Mike. One year doesn't determine a trade unless Mike expected to be a better team because of Ryan.
