Do you want the Leafs to make the playoffs
Do you want the Leafs to make the playoffs
i duno.. i want a high pick again but with our Franchise centre and seems the mgmt will not trade away youth for immediate help.. i'd willing to wait for another year with another high pick to help it out.. although this year's not a very deep draft but i think the top 15 would still be good..
of coz making the playoffs would be nice though! But i don't want to be like Calgary few seasons ago, making the playoffs 1 year and couldn't make it another 2..
What do you guys seriously hope for?

Don't care about wins and losses at the stage. If we draft high then it adds more talent and value to our organization. If we make the playoffs it's a good experience for the youth and we still have our first and a bunch of picks. All I really care about this year is how our young guys are playing and progressing.

Ya same. Play it out and see what happens. Big thing is avoid making short term trades to improve team for this year. Would be happy to shell off polak and others of his ilk for picks if that is available

Don't you want your team to make the playoffs every year??

It's all about the long term with this current set of players. Will be happy either way as long as the guys are progressingdave1959 wroteCOLONDon't you want your team to make the playoffs every year??

Leafs are too good for a high pick and their division is pretty weak this year. If Tampa and Florida continue to falter they could actually win a first round matchup with BOS or OTT.

I like the growth of this team, I would love to see them make the playoffs! It certainly gives that young team something to build-on going into next season.

When you're a team on the rise...why wouldn't you want to make the playoffs ASAP? You don't want to become the Oilers although it looks like they might have figured things out for once.
I would rather be young and competitive because you won't have these players forever. You can't assume these guys will just "get it" after so many years. Win when you're ready to win.

Yes, because of how they're doing it. It's the kids, the future, that have seemingly exceeded all expectations this season. It's not a group of vets clinging to their careers. The youth has progressed faster than expected and because of that, making the playoffs would be a tremendous accomplishment. The team is way too good for a bottom 5 finish at this point.

Agreed, I would have a different opinion if we were a bubble team with Laich, Greening, Michalek and Lupul all playing and blocking players like Soshnikov, Hyman, Brown, Marner. The more we can win with this roster the better it is for development since pretty much every player is a core guy other than Bozak, Hunwick, Polak, Martin, Komarov and maybe JVR.Shep wroteCOLONYes, because of how they're doing it.
