Did Matthew legit turn this down?Bruyns wroteCOLONGibson + Fabbri + CAR 1st beats that package IMO.
Re: Anaheim Deadline Block
Haha no that was his ask, I don't value Dubnyk much more than Gibson and I like the cheaper contract.
Re: Anaheim Deadline Block
To be fair, that was when Gibson was sporting a save percentage close to 900Bruyns wroteCOLONHaha no that was his ask, I don't value Dubnyk much more than Gibson and I like the cheaper contract.
And I believe I took fabbri out of it and replaced him with crouse who was on pace for like 10 points and in your minors. Dubnyk was also at like .945 at the time.

True, just pointing out to Casper why he likely doesn't have what you want which is younger goalie++
Re: Anaheim Deadline Block
Btw, thanks for making my private offers public, guys. I don't appreciate it and I'll remember it. I wouldn't do the same to you.
Thank you to Lee for asking if he could bring our negotiations public the other day, which I said okay to. I did appreciate that.

Re: Anaheim Deadline Block
I see no issue with it and I think PMs are just to facilitate one on one talks without someone else giving an opinion. I don't view them as a big secret message no one else can know about and why would you care if they are made public?
To be clear, I would never say anything if a GM asked me not to like if they were targeting a player in the draft or something. Just seemed like a normal offer that could have just as easily been made publicly rather than PM.
I won't do it again now that I know it bothers you, but to anyone else feel free to ask any other GM about an offer I make or make it public since I have no issues with it.

Re: Anaheim Deadline Block
If you're embarrassed about an offer you probably shouldn't be making it then...

Re: Anaheim Deadline Block
I'm not sure why anyone would have a big issue with their offers being public unless they know they are asking too much or trying to intentionally be deceptive. It's not like guys don't talk to each other in this league either, so it wouldn't have stayed a secret for long.
Re: Anaheim Deadline Block
i think PMs should be private... but i don't have any secrets and have no problems my offers being public..
but if im matthew i'd not want my offers being public.. for the obvious reason =P
but hey... shiv did well with that strategy... it does work somehow..

Wouldn't mind packaging a couple of the forwards up for an upgrade. Defense available for a prospect / pick package.
