Playoffs Round 2
Re: Playoffs Round 2
My god this is tight Tony, way way closer then the score looks.
+1
1 PIM
tied STPTS
4 hits
2 assists
tied wins
28 vs 26 games to go. NOT comfortable.

lol Hong what is this talk of next year like you were already eliminated when we were basically tied?hong57 wroteCOLONactually this is not my year.. that's why i sold zucker.. but next year looks promising (given Ovi still stays)... all my guys are signed and i will have more cap space for upgrades.. Hayden getting time with Toews looks promising.. 3 hits and 1 sog in 8 min of his first NHL game.. looks like a decent 4th line option for me..
With Chabot joining next year.. I only need a couple upgrades and if Toffoli and Ovi can come back with a stronger season.. I should have a better chance next year
It sure was an eventful night..
among other things, unfortunately Darling and Mason got unexpected starts (Darling already coming back from injury and playing before the b2b, Mason getting the 2nd start in 2 nights -> screwed & injured) which will probably put me over the 4 starts limit, so Darling's W likely won't count and you'll probably take 3 goalies cats out of 4 at the end of it, which means you're virtually already up in the score right now.
But almost halfway through the matchup last night my team looked done, so being in position for another crazy battle of ours 24hrs later is pretty amazing. Larkin trying to make up for his awful season at the most critical time, we'll see if he'll deliver in his 3rd game as well.
Meanwhile, fucking Stepan already with 10FW, SOG, 1A & PPP tonight

Re: Playoffs Round 2
Dumb question...
Why did Tampa get the 1st wild card over Florida even though they had one fewer matchup win?

I _think_ Dave's sheet has an error for the total wins?Shoalzie wroteCOLONDumb question...

Re: Playoffs Round 2
Yeah, I had to bring it up...was reviewing the standings for the draft.
Re: Playoffs Round 2
Tampa should read 51-30-1
I just realized I haven't actually updated the w l t in the final standings for everyone
Will do it later
Matt actually did the 1st round match ups and I verified them
All good.

Okay...just wanted clarification before I finalized our draft order.
Re: Playoffs Round 2
Actually you will lose ALL wins.kyuss wroteCOLON among other things, unfortunately Darling and Mason got unexpected starts (Darling already coming back from injury and playing before the b2b, Mason getting the 2nd start in 2 nights -> screwed & injured) which will probably put me over the 4 starts limit, so Darling's W likely won't count
Also any shutouts by the goalie with lesser gp, or all shutouts if they have the same number of gp
Crawford is playing today but they play Colorado tomorrow yikes
Re: Playoffs Round 2
yeah fuckin' Quenneville only played Darling on b2b in previous weeks, and this time that he was out injured he'll probably get 2 games instead screwing things up for me.dave1959 wroteCOLONActually you will lose ALL wins.kyuss wroteCOLON among other things, unfortunately Darling and Mason got unexpected starts (Darling already coming back from injury and playing before the b2b, Mason getting the 2nd start in 2 nights -> screwed & injured) which will probably put me over the 4 starts limit, so Darling's W likely won't count

Losing all Wins rather than only Darling's won't change much though, Hong will take wins anyway once you take away Darling's win/s
Re: Playoffs Round 2
damn that post hit by Drouin is still ringing in my head..
Re: Playoffs Round 2
Slowly clawing my way back, despite a horrible week offensively, several categories are up for grabs still
Re: Playoffs Round 2
Definitely still up in the air going into the final day.
Re: Playoffs Round 2
Was hoping to take adavantage of some goalie cats... yeah, not so much.
Re: Playoffs Round 2
Tied going into Sunday. Nick has 3 GP advantage + 2 GP with Girardi and Manning STILL not playing... Pretty sure you got this, Nick.

Re: Playoffs Round 2
BUF-FLA: Matt seems to be in control. Chris has the GP advantage today but a lot would have to go his way for this to turn around. I can't see him winning if he doesn't get a shutout from his goalie today. Chris definitely has the longest odds of making a Sunday comeback.
NYI-TB: Great battle so far...goaltending categories are settled. I see at least 7 categories that could go either way so this one will go to the end.
MIN-NSH: Matchup has been as good as I expected. There seems to be fewer toss-up categories in this matchup than Islanders-Lightning.
WPG-VAN: Luke has controlled the goaltending but his offense hasn't shown up. Luke's got the GP edge but I have a hard time seeing Fraser not close this out.

G, SOG, GWG, FOW, TOISH, GAA & SV% (when you consider the players going today, SHTOI and FOW look almost as even as the other ones).
And that's not counting Wins that are currently tied, only because I'll exceed the limit and Hong will take those by default: somehow Mason is penciled to start again today, in fact.
I see Hong stopped talking.. probably needed to take some distance to avoid a heart attack the way this matchup is going lol
it's going to be a long day, it feels like perhaps the most critical one since I've been part of this league.
It kills me that yesterday Kuz+Zucc+Josi+Arvidsson combined for only 2 SOG overall and Haula+Eller for only 5 FOW... hopefully I'll still able to win at least one of those 2 stats.
Re: Playoffs Round 2
Jesus fuck W.Karlsson 0 for 5 on faceoffs so far...
