Conference Finals
Re: Conference Finals
MIN won?
Re: Conference Finals
Yes, Mik lost goalie wins due to going over the maximum goalie starts allowed.
Re: Conference Finals
Out of curiosity. Is that the 82 yearly he exceeded or do we have a weekly cap?

Re: Conference Finals
weekly in the playoffs if I remember correctly
Re: Conference Finals
On the topic of 82 max that's starts not GP and we have been discussing the rule in the CC and expect an announcement about changes and enforcement for next season. This is something that hasn't really been enforced lately.Fraser wroteCOLONOut of curiosity. Is that the 82 yearly he exceeded or do we have a weekly cap?

And I have Yakupov wasting a lineup slot in place of Mark Stone (epic fail)

Re: Conference Finals
I'm just happy to be here.
GP is close. I got both Stoner and theodore as dead spots in my lineup.

Re: Conference Finals
So Mik loses goalie wins so that makes it 8-8...then I assume Hong won based on better regular season record?
On the bright side, Mik's bench probably would've won a round in the playoffs. The depth on his roster is grotesque.

Re: Conference Finals
to clarify for everyone, this is the rule that applied to the NSH-MIN 2nd Round matchup:Bruyns wroteCOLONYes, Mik lost goalie wins due to going over the maximum goalie starts allowed.
http://bbkl.ca/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1206 ... uote]If a team exceeds the playoff 4-goalie-starts per week limit, all Wins recorded by its goalies will be erased. Furthermore, eventual shutouts recorded by the goalie with less starts will be erased as well (all shutouts recorded will be erased if the goalies have the same number of starts; in that scenario exceeding the total of 4 means at least 3 starts each, hence breaking the limit by 2).
The above limit is raised to 5 if one of the goalies' NHL team plays 5 games that particular week.
might as well add the comment I made on this in the other thread:
so, because of that rule the real score of our matchup was 8-8, which brings up the final position in the standings as tie-breaker, and that's the best tie breaker we can have as far as I'm concerned.kyuss wroteCOLONnever shared this league's habit of pushing BBKL teams towards NHL systems (and of going by NHL crappy seeding system), and I paid the ultimate price to that as they eventually costed me the season, but I think the current Goalies rule it's the best we can do under that philosophy. I remember during that long debate taking away only Wins from the 'other' goalie (Darling in this case) was not considered punitive enough, meaning the purpose our rule had to achieve went beyond keeping it fair during the playoff matchups, it had to discourage dressing (hence, having in the first place) two contributing goalies of different NHL teams and the current rule clearly did that while still allowing me a fair chance to compete.
I made it close with Hong in the standings but couldn't overtake him.

hey Tony, what's your reason for losing instead? sucking?Tony wroteCOLONBruyns wroteCOLONYes, Mik lost goalie wins due to going over the maximum goalie starts allowed.
Re: Conference Finals
Will we be seeing a new champion this year? Has anyone in the final 4 won before?
Re: Conference Finals
Don't think so.
Good luck to the 4 teams left btw, feels like more wide-open than ever, these bbkl playoffs could be very entertaining till the end of it.

Re: Conference Finals
Congrats to all the winners.
MIN - TBL finals
I'm sticking with TBL, as I called them my winner from the start of the playoffs.
