2017 Draft Discussion

[Robin Hood]

I've watched a bunch of Timmins highlights and the thing most scouts are talking about (and I noticed in his plays) is his poise and how he is NHL ready from that perspective. Still has other areas to work on but they will come. Also a right handed d-man who can put up points is hard to come by. Pretty sure he'll get taken in the 1st round.

I had Timmons on my short list at pick 41. He may go first now, but I'm not convinced. He reminds me of Stuart Percy, at the same age.

I think he's very different. Incredible skater and first pass + pp quarterback. I'm hoping he goes 16-24.

I have him more of a 35-60 guy, myself. That doesn't mean he wont go earlier or later. After the top 10 picks this draft is literally wide-open.

I read some projections that had him at 44 ish so you might be right. Personally think a contender without depth on D prospects will take him late in round 1 for sure.

Maybe, the draft will be all over the place. I actually like 3 dmen not taken yet more than Timmons. They have a bigger boom/bust ceiling though. Timmons is a safer pick.
