Yeah, I'm not a big fan of being in this division. My reign as being the best last place team will continue until one of these guys wants to tear it down. Maybe I can jump Billy or Kyle but both are still quite good. I don't see myself breaking into the top 5 any time soon.
Teams in the Metro...you better finish in the top 3 because I don't see the wild cards coming out of there. It'll be 5 from the Atlantic and 3 from the Metro until further notice.
Re: FLA/PHI
I was serious when I said I wasn't interested in competing, only building. got my team to a point where it could compete long term . but I guess if the only way I can build is to quit for a year or tear down my team...

Re: FLA/PHI
This move makes sense for Chris. Tim took Soderberg's contract off his hands at the expansion draft...and he was already deep at center. That freed up some cap room for a guy like Lucic.

You do well with the kiddies though... you can rebuild and probably be 3rd in the division still lol

To me, it seems difficult to be good at building if you're not trying to be competitive? Isn't it a bad sign if you want to build not to go anywhere....Lee wroteCOLONI was serious when I said I wasn't interested in competing, only building. got my team to a point where it could compete long term . but I guess if the only way I can build is to quit for a year or tear down my team...

Re: FLA/PHI
Man...forgot about Chris also adding Alzner. Yeah, solid offseason for him.
Thom is the undisputed king of the Metro. Tony is scaling back his team. It's going to be a big mess between the rest of the division to get those other two spots. I agree that Lee could still finish in the top 3. Mike and Dave are in the mix...Paul has improved. Kyle is rebuilding...could get a nice boost from Kovalchuk (if he officially returns).

Could also say that his ultimate goal would be to win and not JUST be competitive... I think Lee would ideally get to a Pre-Bruyns / Will in Dallas state ... but i'm just hypothesizing
Re: FLA/PHI
Similar value 33 isn't that far off from FLA 1st next year which will be later than 20 and then another 39 and 2nds + 2 3rds.kyuss wroteCOLONsame feelings.lightupdadarkness wroteCOLONGlad to see he wasn't given away

Re: FLA/PHI
I think Lee is trying to say he enjoys making bad teams into bubble playoff teams, but doesn't like trying to turn a bubble team into a contender.Sensfanjosh wroteCOLONTo me, it seems difficult to be good at building if you're not trying to be competitive? Re: FLA/PHI
I think some teams need two cycles of rebuild. Just because all your prospects turn into decent NHLers doesn't mean your team can compete.
