Re: Trade: COL-DET
Yeah, I figured you wouldn't be a big fan, Matthew...
I talked to him about Rieder a little while ago...just restarted talks recently. I dangled Borgstrom out there to begin with. Glad I could do the deal without giving up that earlier 2nd rounder. I figured Borgstrom could be moved after I acquired Connor.
I like the idea of adding a 24-year-old who can kill penalties and pop 30+ points. He's a nice fit on my 3rd line. I wish he could bring that hit total back up more towards the amount he had as a rookie. But his PK numbers will make up for some of what I lost with trading Trocheck.

Re: Trade: COL-DET
Yeah Reider is really good. If he can stick in the top 6 in arz when they add the young talent his points could go up some too. Nice one, scott. But this also works for Casper.

It could work out well for him...Borgstrom is a very intriguing player. Plus, he's gets those extra picks. It could work out well for him. Rieder might not get better than what he is. He's basically a 3rd liner in Arizona.
Re: Trade: COL-DET
Reider probably is what he is. Beauty of him is that he can play up and down in the lineup and kill penalties. Nice complementary piece to have on your roster, but I need to multiply assets and Borgstrom is arguably Florida's best prospect.Shoalzie wroteCOLONkoomzzz wroteCOLONnice move for casper here

As probably the only ARZ fan you know, I'm not a big fan of Rieder as someone that will stick around and I don't think Tipp cares for him all that much, so you might end up with a Rieder for someone else, which might work out for you.Shoalzie wroteCOLONYeah...I do. Also I have Dmen
