Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
That's a great deal for Drouin.
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Great deal for Drouin, have to wonder if that means no Radulov re-signing though
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
His production is probably hindered a bit by being in Montreal now but 6 years of $5.5m for a 22 year old first line winger is pretty good
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
he feasted on the PP that's for sure, we'll see how he does in MTL. He had some amazing shifts in TBAY
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
hes one of the higher skilled guys in the league. We will see if he can put it all together these next couple seasons in Montreal. I can see them hoping he becomes the face of the franchise, good ol French Canadian boy and all

not any more hindered than it was playing under cooper...Loki wroteCOLONHis production is probably hindered a bit by being in Montreal now but 6 years of $5.5m for a 22 year old first line winger is pretty good

True in general but didn't he get a lot better deployment this past season due to the injuries?KapG wroteCOLONnot any more hindered than it was playing under cooper...Loki wroteCOLONHis production is probably hindered a bit by being in Montreal now but 6 years of $5.5m for a 22 year old first line winger is pretty good
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
I suppose so, particularly on the PP. he showed his worth though popping 26 stpts.Loki wroteCOLONTrue in general but didn't he get a lot better deployment this past season due to the injuries?KapG wroteCOLONnot any more hindered than it was playing under cooper...Loki wroteCOLONHis production is probably hindered a bit by being in Montreal now but 6 years of $5.5m for a 22 year old first line winger is pretty good

Him and patches could be nasty together Hong
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
I think the contract is fine, but agree with a few in here that I don't think his point total goes up much if at all. His 5 on 5 stats weren't great and TB has better personnel on the PP. To me it seems like TB has always wanted to move him after he was a problem for them and they finally got an offer they felt was worth it. Very skilled player, but not sure it was what MTL needed.

Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Montreal needs a center and gave up a top D prospect to get a winger. Not a knock on Drouin at all, but they'll still need a center even if they move Galchenyuk for a guy like StepanBruyns wroteCOLONI think the contract is fine, but agree with a few in here that I don't think his point total goes up much if at all.
