Kovy named 3 teams he wanted to be traded to: Rangers, Leafs and i forgot which
Leafs are tied with Marleau... Rangers doesn't have cap...
so he's going back to KHL

Bishop in a Hitchcock system is going to dominate, and I was one of the biggest criticizers of the trade/signing of Bishop. Once Hitch is gone, they're in trouble.

That's a really strong team. They have $4.7mil to sign Faksa and Ritchie, as well as improving their fourth line if they so choose. The top 9 forwards is as strong as any other team in the West, IMO.

they signed pitlick to 3 years deal.. i think if he's healthy will be on the 3rd line

I don't think you are grasping exactly what is being said. Kovalchuk wasn't going anywhere he didn't want to go. Nobody was giving anything up bc they knew Sheri's hands were tied. Kovalchuk's rights are owned by NJ, so no team could negotiate terms with him without NJ permission.

Only difference is since Kovy had teams he was fine going to, I think some of those teams probably offered something to Shero for his rights, but Shero felt it wasn't enough, asked for more and came up empty
