I'm excited. Kamenev has been called up AND he is playing 2c tonight. But 2c for one of the sadder second lines I've seen: andrighetto - kamenev - Yakupov....c'mon Colorado, you can do better than that.

I'm just glad I played Witkowski this week

I actually think we should look into getting rid of the category PIMs. Replacing it with something like take-aways or something more skilled related. As goons are faded out in the NHL we are seeing less PIMs week-to-week. I've won the PIMs category with 9 before. That's shameful, considering I had 62 games played that week.

I think I'd prefer takeaways or (takeaways - giveaways) instead of +/- as it is a more personal stat, rather than a team stat.

Get rid of PIM and +/- and replace with take-aways and give aways (turnovers). I like it.

Wholeheartedly agree, was going to post this offseason we get rid of PIMs but I forgot. It's a fucking worthless stat. Although I don't mind keeping +/-, just take out PIMs and have a takeaways +/giveaways - stat instead... Or take out +/- as well in addition to PIMs and have 1 Cat each for takeaways and 1 for giveaways

Penalties are kind of a silly fantasy stat when you think about it. We have hits if you want to measure physical play but it's not like every penalty is related to being "too physical".

There's no other sport that actually keeps the kind of records for penalties on their players other than hockey. Does anyone who plays fantasy basketball use fouls or technical fouls? I can get behind that movement if there's another good stat to replace it like the takeaway vs. giveaway stat(s).

I never got the thinking that PMs should be a good thing.

they hurt a team, not help it.

It could have been a precursor stat to give value to non-point scorers before hits and blocks started being tracked and just kind of never left most leagues
