There were a few good pieces no doubt. But overall an old and declining roster and I had no draft picks left for the year I took over or the year after. Really don't see it as a rich team for assets that I inherited.

Like I said, the McDavid trade set things in motion.
That looks like a pretty solid core valuewise to begin with. And he was guaranteed one of mcdavid/eichel.
But he has done a good job to get where he is now.
Except he had literally nothing else. Not even a semblance of NHL talent aside from those players. Is Chicago's starting roster worse? Yes, but that is a pretty bad starting roster.
Wrong I traded for Klefbom and Fabbri and Parayko. They were not on my starting roster

Nope Reinhart. I traded you those peices for him
Got fabbri and parayko from you and Klefbom from Scott
i don't fleece GMs by trade i try to have both sides get good value depending on what their needs.. i think my team has came together through drafting and prospect development.. i don't really make much trades.. haha

Flipped both Karlsson and green for big packages and reflipped a bunch of those assets real early on to make a much wider youth pool within first few months
