Yup - what Billy said is what Babs is quoted as wanting to try. Babs is known to move his utility wingers around alot as well. Browny could find himself anywhere in the lineup at any give time. Tough to gauge his value, which is too bad because he's a good player. Not worth Sergachev, but a valuable fantasy periph player nonetheless.

And the selling point to JT was playing Marner on his wing.. bab did mention the first day after JT signed that he'd think to put hyman, JT, marner on one line and Matthews and nylanders on another

Matthews or JT will be the captain? obviously it's nice to have a Canadian boy (Toronto too!) to be the captain of the Leafs.. .but seems they'd prefer to groom Matthews into the role and would be the future of the Leafs? (though JT is still young and in his prime.. could very well be a very good captain for 10 more years)

No captain to start. Let JT settle in with the boys and prove he can lead them and Matthews will follow suit. Then JT is captain by Christmas or next summer.
