Re: COL-DET
Confirmed
Don't know if this starts the goalie carousel. I'm actually fine with the idea of having two starters or 1A goalies. I'm looking at doing a platoon with Hutton and Elliott. Might play them both in some weeks and might play the guy with the better matchups or who is playing better. It's a move that gives more options in goal. I can't entirely trust Elliott's health.
Hutton is sort of a wild card option but I hope the Sabres are an improving team this year. I like his save % and GAA compared to some of the other "available" guys out there...but he will see more shots in Buffalo than he did in St. Louis and Nashville.
Dumoulin is a good defenseman but I've insulated my group last year with adding Green and Scandella. And I'm hoping for a healthier and better year from Methot.

Yeah if you're trying to compete I don't think you can go at it with just Elliot so u needed a decent goalie. Makes sense.

Well never in my wildest dreams did I expect the season Hutton had last year. I openly wondered if I even got enough for Miller when I dealt him to you. Ultimately I'd say it's a trade that worked out well for both of us.

Re: COL-DET
I was quite happy with the changes in the free agent goalie market...it made some goalies expendable for teams here. I talked to numerous teams about their goaltenders. This move cost me a good player but with a 3 year deal on a (hopefully) improving Sabres team...I hope this pays off. If Elliott can bounce back and hang around the league as a 1 or 1A goalie beyond this year...then it's a bonus.
Re: COL-DET
This seems far less than the Kotkaniemi that you asked me for.
Re: COL-DET
Top pairing dman on good team or overdrafted prospect on awful team...hmmm
