well I only like Tkachuk out of that package so I think that's pretty cheap for Kucherov, especially as long as he makes less than 5M. I suspect Steve might get a similar package back if he will sell again Kucherov when he makes 9.5M.

Anyways, it's not really about how good your offer actually is, it's more about how much the other guy likes the offer, and I don't think I'd have had much of a chance at landing Kucherov from koomzzz

You can always argue in any trade that the team dealing away the best player didn't get enough.

I'll be curious to see what happens with teams like Mike, Steve and Mik this summer when they have to deal with inevitable large raises in some of their top players' contracts and how they'll adjust. They're all clever GMs...they'll work around it.

I already did....I didnt need to justify his skillset. There was no discussion about players, skill set, etc... we just went back and forth on the add ons.
