long tough road to get compliant, but this also just speaks volumes on just how much Mike left this team unattended - his motto was always to cut cap when he came back from his cottage trips all summer. However this time around the situation had gotten so out of hand and even longer extended time away from the team that it almost got to the point of no return... roster was still as stacked as ever but it needed a huge overhaul to keep parity and competitiveness at the same time. I've been saying this to the new guy and his attack dog the whole time. It's the main reason I wasn't willing to give up anything of value for him. I could be wrong - but that never happens
