Team of the Week:
As great things continue to happen in GM Paul's life (he was married last week to his beauty bride while looking extra dapper himself), his BBKL fortunes seem to be following suit. Carolina currently sits comfortably in 3rd place in the Metro and 5th in the Eastern conference. most impressive is his team has managed to achieve this while his goaltending has put up an .828 sv % and 5+ GAA. Sutter, Armia, Jost, Brad Hunt?? and Donskoi have stepped up to supplement the the hurricanes main scoring threats of Marchessault, Tatar and Schultz.
This week Carolina has some key opponents to overcome (for different reasons). New Jersey and Pittsburgh are directly behind Carolina in the Metro so those need to be kept at least close, and Paul probably hopes to pick up some easy points against a struggling Islanders squad. Most importantly he's facing Steve and the Kings, and one can expect Paul would love to finally shed the "minor league squad" slur used against him (although his current rank has probably put some of that talk to rest.

Matches of the week:
Dallas vs LAK: Divisional leaders in the West face-off.
NJD vs Tampa: 7th and 8th place teams in the East wild card race playing the shuffle.
note: bad news for teams of the metro looking to make up some ground as division leader Philly will be facing the 29th, 28th, 27th, and 23rd overall teams this week.

Re: GDT - Week Four
Going to be a big week for me, have had some victories slip away from me in the last couple of days of the matchup, need to start racking up some bigger wins and stop trading 8-7's and 7-8 matchups
Couple of wins against Eastern rivals would go a long way for sure

Re: GDT - Week Four
Hey - what is the process for when a player is added in during the season - Boyle. Does he stay in the minors until I call him up, or do we follow the same process, i.e. he has to go on waivers unless I call him up? If that is the case, at what point do I need to call him up? The week after he's played his first game, or right away because he has signed?

"Any unsigned player at beginning of the season can be sent to minors waiver exempt, but must go through waivers immediately upon signing an NHL contract."
so for today's roster lock, you have to either have him on your roster, or put him on waivers to try to keep him in the minors.

Re: GDT - Week Four
I added Boyle's contract info last night and he's currently listed as having to clear waivers starting in Week 4. He won't show up as signed or needing to clear waivers in the previous weeks.

Re: GDT - Week Four
I'm in 3 blowouts and Boston is nickel and diming me to death in the 4th...
Re: GDT - Week Four
Tight matchup between me and CBJ today, few hours to go and ties on Points, PIMs, STP and Hits, enough to tip the matchup one way or the other. Only a point or two separating most other stats too
Re: GDT - Week Four
Tough week for team of the week Carolina, sliding way out of the playoff picture with an 11-48-5 performance
Re: GDT - Week Four
Nice bounce back week for me taking down all of Minnesota, Edmonton, Vancouver, and Winnipeg. Been a tough schedule to start the season and have had to fight the injury bug so far but:
Colorado 224
Pittsburgh 209
Trocheck 6
Hischier 2
