Hate to jump on the parade but really easy win for me on Matthew’s part. Sorry Scott, not a fan of the pieces you got and I’m not sure what the drive to make the deal now is. Especially since he’s a cheap add cap wise when considering what a contending team might want at the deadline or over the summer.

... and we always jab Matthew about his offers but he time and time again pulls these deals out... so hard to blame him.

Perhaps you can explain to me why the Jets are choosing to play Luca Sbisa, Carl Dahlstrom and Anthony Bitetto over him. It's his 3rd year in NA - it's time and he's not ready. I'm not convinced.

So on top of not being good enough, he's also injury prone. Even better.

i wouldn't say he's "declining hard" either. He's quite solid in his role, sure its not what people hoped for when he was drafted, but it is what it is, he's a bottom 6 winger who can chip in offensively in small bursts. imo what he's always been

Easy win for Matthew. Going to be interesting to see what kind of value Sergachev provides on his next contract given his current production in this format. That said I would like to think he would be worth more than a decent bottom 6 fwd, a 23 year old prospect that can't crack one of the worst blue lines in the NHL, and a 3rd round pick. Niku is definitely the piece that I don't think fits the asking price.
