Faulk will be compared to Lucic next season with that contract. He's one of the worst defensemen in the NHL and was before coming to St. Louis. Absolute trash.

I can't really agree with that statement at all. Lucic was a terrible contract the day it was signed. Two completely different scenarios even though Faulk is having a down year in the traditional stat sense.

Precisely.... this year anyways.

The first year in a new system is always tough for dmen, and even in a down year Faulk is rated higher than Kempny who is having his best year yet.

I pick up a few picks and roll the dice that Faulk rebounds. At worst, I have a GP dman under contract for a while which is equally important.
