I think most fanbases think the league has it out for them. I call them idiots. I am a Wings fan but I'm not a zealot. Things happen...deal with it and move on. I don't think Stevie-Y cares.

The Wings are more than a player away. You don't have a season like that and think an 18 year old makes it all better.

Here's the real irony: the NHL primarily did the draft lottery tonight so that the non play-in teams could have something to talk about, generate some buzz in those markets. The only buzz generated tonight was in the play-in markets, and it's the wrong kind of buzz.

If we have a normal-ish season, they won't carry this format over. Sounds like a lot of this is a one-off.
