To Anaheim:

Re: ANA/NSH
Surprised there weren't more teams jumping on the opportunity for Barzal.
Should be pick #15, #39, #46 and #139 coming my way for Barzal and #41.
Confirmed.

Re: ANA/NSH
Barzal stolen! Well done Matthew.
Re: ANA/NSH
Actually had a guy at 15 I really want, but with foofnik taking a long time, and I'm out camping (had to come into town to get service to make my pick) I wanted to get back to camping and not sit around for another 5 hours waiting.

Matthew having a nice draft adding Drysdale and Barzal without impacting his lineup.

Re: ANA/NSH
First off, great pick up for Matthew. The flat salary cap is going to create a lot of buying opportunities for non-playoff teams. Young players who are on the rise that need raises coming off their ELC...going to be hard for our top teams to keep these players. Something has to give...good on Matthew for having the available assets. For that price, I'd absolutely do it as well.
That all being said, Mik with four picks in the top 15 of a deep draft...he'll reload and he'll move on from having to move a quality young offensive center like Barzal. This is his model...you can move a good player out for futures when you have re-enforcements in his own system. This is why I say this is the model every team needs to strive for. He might not have the success in the way of championships but he will always be in contention with the amount of talent he accumulates and eventually he'll have it all go his way. To contend every season and have a bounty of young talent...that's a good problem to have.

Re: ANA/NSH
Barzal is overrated in this format. Points only and weak on face offs. Not surprised this was the guy Mik wanted to move.
That said still not a huge price for a young C so not bad at all for Matthew.

Re: ANA/NSH
Right, he's a bit one-dimensional but he's good offensively and that still matters no matter the format. Again, it's a good price for a player like him...but who knows what his next contract will look like.
