Agreed
Re: VAN/CHI
Thanks for the quick move. I get fleeced here but was in a dire situation needing to cut nearly 10mil this close to the start of season.
Cap space is holding a premium price right now

Without looking at your sheets, curious what the cap savings is?

With the Hank and Ryan buyouts, I have been able to weaponize my cap space pretty effectively this off-season.
Chicago sits pretty well this year, with additional assets to trade and with an eye to next season looking to weaponize that cap space even further.
Future looks great!

Re: VAN/CHI
Yowza…I'm sure that'll help both teams.
Overall, it's a pretty good swap. Mark definitely benefited from Ryan being bought out and signing a very cheap deal to make him a better trade piece.
Rebuilding teams need to take note to not shy away from adding any NHLer and salary right now if you can snag some future assets. This is a rare opportunity for teams to give up decent players on a reasonable discount. Cap room is very valuable no matter what your goals are as a team.

Props to you for sticking with this team. There's an ADHL team that has probably been better than yours but has seem like 10 GMs in 4 years all of which get discouraged with the team being bad and leave.Da_Hawks wroteCOLONFuture looks great!
It's not fun being bad, but rewarding when you make that climb.

I don't like taking over elite teams unless there is money on the line. When it's just for fun, I find it more enjoyable taking a beaten down team and bringing it back to life with a little patience.Malette18 wroteCOLONProps to you for sticking with this team.
