Re: NSH - PIT
Prefer the ekholm side as well, but I've never been a Haula fan.
Re: NSH - PIT
Definitely prefer the Ekholm side, especially with Haula still unsigned. Better hope someone picks him up :S
Re: NSH - PIT
Surprised by the comments I am reading above.
I don't see why Haula shouldn't be signed soon.
Simek is a regular NHL D who hits our peripheral stats and signed for 4 more yrs at a very reasonable cap hit.
Frederic, I didn't want to move him because he should be close to landing his spot on the Bruins, and if he does I think he is going to be a solid, cheap contributor in our format (bruyns noticed that).
Kivenmaki is a late round pick but he is having quite the season in Finland. Same age and position as Kotkaniemi, had similar numbers this year playing on the same team over there.
I only did this deal because I needed to trim my roster, I expect it will eventually not look good in insight, but hopefully Ekholm will deliver throughout the upcoming two years of his nice current contract.

Re: NSH - PIT
Guess it depends on how you feel about haula. Have always liked him and betting on a bounce back. He’ll likely sign a cheap one year deal. Hits most categories. And simek will be too 4 in SJS this year. Better periphs than Ekholm (should near him in SHTOI). And I’m high on Frederic in our format. Ekholm is a better nhler than BBKL piece especially with josi and Ellis ahead of him in Nashville from an offensive standpoint. Though still quite good for his cap hit in saying all that.

(note that this time we moved forward with Fantrax right away... but we sent the deal wrong so we had to re-do it, hence it slipped to today)

Re: NSH - PIT
lol nice timing... joins NHL Nashville right after leaving BBKL Nashville and great contract for Mike.
As a consolation, I'd expect him not to take too many faceoffs on his new team
