I got Sekera from Montreal via Calgary. I got the picks from Calgary. Josh got Fischer from me. Chuck his players from Josh.

Basically traded Sergachev for a bunch of mid round picks. I really don't understand what your strategy is.Shoalzie wroteCOLONLove you too.

Re: Cgy/Det/Mtl
If you want to debate the return in the deal or debate the fact I shouldn't traded him in the first place...I'd understand any arguments now. I moved him ahead of what became a large and unexpected economic shift due to the pandemic resulting in a flat cap that lead much smaller second contracts for players coming off rookie deals. Would I have loved to keep knowing Sergachev eventually signed for? Of course.

Any way I see things, the Serga deal looks bad. Gonna have to hit some of those picks and hit them hard to break even.
Still don't understand the need to trade Fischer for a pack of old peanuts though.

Re: Cgy/Det/Mtl
the. Main piece in that deal is niku, imo. This coming season will be the telling one for him. He may not be serg good, but he at least has the potential to be a 2nd pairing offensive guy who is average defensively, and make the trade a lot closer.
Was difficult to predict serg was going to start killing penalties right after the deal too. Up till that point he was a 35 point non-shtoi dman.
