Week 1 of BBKL's 12th season

Good luck to everyone!! New divisional matchups for week 1 to start things off.

I'm a little worried about creating this 56 game schedule over 13 weeks so things could get a little wonky, only week 1 in so far, but the plan is 9 weeks of 4 matchups and and 4 weeks of 5 matchups assuming I can get all the pieces to fit. We only have a one week final this year so if the NHL adds an extra week due to Covid we might be able to still have a 2 week final.

It's good to have hockey back again. We're still living in a strange time but hopefully this goes off with minimal issues. The playoff bubbles in the NHL and NBA were successful. I'm lowering my bar for expectations for this regular season.

And speaking of lowering the bar of expectations...I'll get to watch my lowly Red Wings for the first time since March.

At worst I hope this Wings team is more entertaining. They appear to have a good second line and I hope the changes on defense and the addition Greiss brings their goals against down. They couldn't score enough last and they gave up way too many goals. The reason they were so bad last year wasn't all that complicated...they were badly outmatched in all aspects of play.

The divisions actually don't mean much because it isn't top 3 teams in each make the playoff. We are just doing 1-8 in each conference, and North and west are together in the Campbell.
