Ovechkin is the 2nd greatest goal scorer of all time. Let’s not get crazy here with Laine comparisons

Lol Laine is no Ovechkin. When he hits 50 then we can talk. It might be a long while before that happens in a Torts system.

not that I said he is Ovechkin, but he would have already hit 50 if he was playing 1st line for the caps and on their PP on Ovechkin spot

This & Dubois > Laine can both be true.

The problem with Laine is that he may very well be able to score as many as OV in any given year, but he hasn't shown the will to do so, nor EARNED the spot that OV has.

POJ breaking into the league quite nicely over in Pittsburgh :). Huge 3 point game last night. Pretty sure I drafted him in 2017. It’s taken some time for him to make the show, but he’s looking like he’s got a bright future (yes small sample size but he sure passes the eye test)

It’s pretty fun to watch when one of your drafted guys breaks into the league.

Makes those 2-3 year waits worth it when you see shit like that :). It’s tough because not every prospect develops at the same speed and you want them in the nhl ASAP. Especially when they are 1st or 2nd round picks.

He posted over 53 points last season in 68 games. I think it probably has something to do with his public image.

Yep not a team guy... bad reputation. It's like Ho-Sang, except DeAngelo produces. Gotta imagine someone takes a shot on him.
