Re: Ana/car
Pretty sure you actually need to trade something for this to be legal
Re: Ana/car
Pretty much. Even if Paul doesn’t really want to, he has to send at least a 7th or a waiver pick or something. If Matthew can’t find anyone to take the contract he either gets fined or can’t pick up ruhwedel, no?Sensfanjosh wroteCOLONPretty sure you actually need to trade something for this to be legal

Because he’s a 30 year old who has never played more than spot duty in the NHL probably. He’s garbage lolMatthew wroteCOLONMuahahaaaa

Re: Ana/car
If that's true that's really dumb. So obvious I'm not just giving Paul assets for the sake of it, and was actually paying someone to take a contract I needed to unload...

Paul didn’t want to give you a pick obviously. If you can’t find someone to pay you something you have to keep thet contract on the books or be over the contract limit...Matthew wroteCOLONIf that's true that's really dumb. It’s cheaper for you to give these assets away than to pay a fine for being over the contract limit. Thet or you don’t get ruhwedel I guess?

There yah go lol
I just know toronto gm got fined a 3rd or something for being over contract limits. Just want it to be fair for everyone. No hard feelings!!

Re: Ana/car
Does the waiver claim still go through given the transaction completed after the noon deadline?

Re: Ana/car
If it does then I would think a fine would be in order for going over the contract limitDa_Hawks wroteCOLONDoes the waiver claim still go through given the transaction completed after the noon deadline?
Re: Ana/car
I wasn't over contract limit. I traded the contract before I placed a claim.
I don't get why this would have been illegal anyway. The time it was denied was when a GM attempted to give another gm an entry pick, I believe, with nothing else In the deal. No advantage to the GM giving away a pick, so it appears corrupt. Quite obvious here I'm paying someone to give me contract space.

Re: Ana/car
The issue is I was literally just fined a 3rd for being unable to make a deal like the one you just tried to put through. The original deal was illegal, and so technically either your waiver claim is ineligible because you did not have the contract space, or the claim is fine but it put you over the contract limit which makes your roster illegal and subject to a fine.

False. U wanted people to pay u to take ur bad contracts and you were unwilling to pay picks to move the bad contracts. That left u over the contract limit come roster lock.Sensfanjosh wroteCOLONThe issue is I was literally just fined a 3rd for being unable to make a deal like the one you just tried to put through. Re: Ana/car
It's the same situation, we both needed/wanted to move a contract. I was asking for a 7th rounder (the literal minimum one can ask for in a trade) for two contracts. You tried to move a contract, and posted an illegal trade to do so in order to make a waiver claim. Either the claim is illegal because the trade was not legal when it was posted, or the claim is legal but because there was a period where you had 51 contracts your roster was illegal.
It should also be noted my players signed late and so I had no ability to drop them/do anything but trade them whereas you knowingly put in a waiver claim.
