The Wings looked like they wanted to give that game away after the 3-0 lead. They survived after Bernier got hurt in the first...he was standing on his head at the time. Griess hasn't gotten into many games lately so I'm sure he's a bit rusty.
This current Wings team still isn't very good but I see some more of the current Sabres looking like last year's dreadful Wings team where seem hopeless on the ice. You can at least see a little more spirit and effort in the Wings this year. They really do need an injection guys like Seider and Raymond but you can't exactly pull them out of Europe right now.
I hope they finally start inserting their young players into the lineup next two seasons as more contracts come off the books. As of now, the only players with years remaining after '21-22 are Larkin and Mantha.
