Who says you can't just 3 spots?

I know, the league reflects the NHL in these terms. Curious what all of the leagues are going to do in regards to not be able to win the lottery more than twice in 5 years.

If we are going to deviate from the NHL, we should strongly consider completely re-doing the lottery system for us. Having the 10th place team go 1st overall can really fuck over a rebuilding team`s year.

Given how hard it is to actually tank (GP, salary, etc.) the lottery should heavily favour the bottom 5 or so teams.

However, then you have to rely on someone in the league doing a simulated lottery, which opens up other issues.

I`d vote for just following the NHL - keep things simply, uncomplicated and leave it at that.
