I honestly thought this was Mik's best shot...he was very aggressive at the trade deadline. The Wales Conference was stacked. There were no easy matchups in any round and if you got to the finals, you earned it.

When we go back to the East/West format next year...Steve is going to be in for a fight with the likes Matthew, Fraser, Mik, Arian, Josh, Will...throw in Arizona and St. Louis as improving teams. It's a much better conference than it was recent years.

I like seeing more teams trying to win. You can accumulate picks and prospects all you want...you eventually need to take the next step with your group. Matthew has done a nice job adding veterans to his younger players and he's where he's at for a reason.

It's far from over, I really like my chances, but if you win the goalie stats there are enough other stats that are still real close and could go either way. The year I beat Steve 8-7-1 I remember he was up big in week 1 and I thought it was over.

I assumed you would win FOW since Kadri and Mackinnon don’t get a lot but with them and Miller I do have a lot of GP. If I’m lucky I can tie up goalie wins, but not banking on a CHI/ANA win.
