The first week was only going to have 3 NHL gp.

The week dates can all be customized. So it's complete freedom as far as each period is concerned, Dave.

The first week was only going to have 3 NHL gp.

It would have made more sense to merge weeks 10 and 11, then see what happens for week 12.

It doesn't seem to make a lot of sense to let these few days count towards a result in the standings. It was a wise choice to merge this week with next week assuming they're back at it after the holiday.

Also, with the NHL not going to the Olympics, we can potentially shift our weeks around to include any games played during those two weeks that were previously left open.

For those teams interested in grabbing any free agents for GP or have a guy they are looking at, remember that December 31st is the last day to claim free agents. All remaining free agents are then carried over for next years waiver draft.
