I think its pretty fair. Ekblad clearly having a career year with a nice trajectory and being 3 yrs younger with 1.5M cap hit less. I'd say overall offensive stats should be similar. Both have injury history. Hamilton hits/blks a bit more and Ekblad PKs more. So for the better year, younger age and cheaper contract, I get an early 2nd rounder and Dermott, whose value is low now but I think still has some upside in a different setting.
