And tbh I don’t mind the update after using it for a week.
Maybe as the weeks go on it will grow on me a bit.

Retooling is honestly pretty fun. Some of the most fun I’ve had in this league has been blowing it up the last 3 years and drafting all these kids. Just a little bit more difficult because it seems teams aren’t getting stingy with their sssets. Not that I blame anyone for that…

Pretty disappointed with this week. Losing ~ 8-4-4 means I should probably move some pieces to make sure I can get my best guys (seider/Jeannot/swayman etc) into the lineup.

I think this week is probably a good example of what me team can be. I have low expectations but I've got a mix of players that will occasionally put up solid numbers and I'll be competitive. It's not my goal but I'm not going to complain if my team performs. I'd hope I'm carrying players that could have trade value.

I've said all along I want a "stable roster". I don't want to carry a bunch of fringe NHLers on one year deals and clearly aim for the worst record possible. I want established players on deals where I know where they'll be playing for a while. I need a roster that can hold down the fort while my younger guys develop. I don't want to spend (more) assets on new roster players year after year. I want to have guys now that can be on my roster for multiple years or guys with potential trade value. I'll make room for my young guys when they're ready.

I think this week is probably a good example of what me team can be.
Also a good example of what having only 2 opponents in a week can do: ARZ leads the league standings with a ghost of a GM and paltry stats :)

btw, thanks Dave for leading us to implement the '4 opponents per week' change
