I imagine it's the opposite, a 1st that downgrades into a second if the Stars make the finals.Starpainter wroteCOLONLooks great for us, but that condition doesn't make any sense...

Not sure if you guys are familiar with Dallas Dave..but he just posted this on twitter:

Eriksson, Ott, Robidas, Daley, and Lehtonen all get real money raises next year. #Stars must cut cash to keep Richards. Question is when?
Re: NHL Transactions - lots of dmen injuries
That makes a lot more sense with the real money thing, I was only looking at cap hit with it making little sense IMO.bcool wroteCOLONNot sure if you guys are familiar with Dallas Dave..but he just posted this on twitter:

Hmmm..
Cap hits vs. Salary for 2011/2012
Steve Ott - 2.95 vs. 3.3
James Neal - 2.875 vs. 3.5
Grossman - 1.625 -vs. 1.750
Eriksson - 4.266 vs. 4.2
Morrow - Same
Lehtonen - 3.55 vs. 3.7
Interesting that the names that you mentioned (Ott, Neal, Grossman) all have significant differences between real salary and cap hit...
ps. I think the leafs are lucky that they dont have to deal with this "real money" bullshit on top of the cap.
Re: NHL Transactions - lots of dmen injuries
I dont get why Dallas would be giving us a defencemen, unless Beau or someone is being moved, adding a defencemen, makes no sense to me.
PS Wellwood to start tonight as San Joses third line center. so not sure where thats leaving Pavelskis future with the club

Phaneuf, Schenn, Beauch, Komi, Kabs, Grossman with Gunnar as the 7th (or sent to Marlies)bills09 wroteCOLONI dont get why Dallas would be giving us a defencemen, unless Beau or someone is being moved, adding a defencemen, makes no sense to me.
Maybe Beauch or Kabs traded?
Meh, it's possible.

I was very close to giving the green light to Shiv for a deal he was talking about this morning.. Then I went to the hospital and fell asleep for 6 hours.. Worked out.MSP4LYFE wroteCOLONI am going to be soooooo pissed off at you if you deal him to Scott for anything less than overpayment...inferno31 wroteCOLONhttp://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=350270

Thank god...Shiv would have dealt Nabakov to Scott for Macdonald, and added Hejduk on top of it...

Somehing percolating between #Stars and #Leafs, nothing imminent. Not Richards, but Stars cutting cap space. Could be a while, still chasing

Re: NHL Transactions - lots of dmen injuries
Pulmonary Embolism. Rare in athletes to say the least. Possible causes: Long term immobilization (trans atlantic flight, bed rest), recent surgery, bone break, or hes got a genetic defect. I think the long term immobilization isn't likely even though its the most common cause, but I don't know if hes had a recent surgery or a bone break. The doctor said he'll be on blood thinners for the rest of the season, so that could be bone break or recent surgery.
I was talking about this with a friend, it could possibly be blood doping. No one wants to discuss the elephant in the room, but Pulmonary embolisms are a side effect of it for sure, and even though hes with the avs now the caps organization had some questions around it.
