I recall making comments earlier in the year on here that Savard would be a risk not worth taking for the Leafs because of his concussion history. I was then told essentially that I was off my rocker.

Told you all it would take just one hit to sideline him for the year. He is so fucking fragile now it's not funny.

Too bad for the guy too cause he still has the ability.

The rumored asking price was peanuts, you take that risk every time. It didn't work out in the end, but it doesn't mean it was the wrong move at the time.

Good point. Same could have been said about Bergeron and look at him now. Bergeron has learned to not put himself in vulnerable positions. Savard has not and has paid for it. He was playing like a 250 lb player and going into corners with his head down or stretching out to make his awesome passes which in turn would leave him very vulnerable in multiple occasions. This could even be a career ending type injury for this guy. Hes got his big contract that will be paid by insurance for a very long time and the dude is a scratch golfer who said he would love to give a chance on tour if given the opportunity. Who knows what the future holds..

Which one? Golf or hockey? Cause he is an amazing golfer and has actually caddied on the PGA for Stewart Payne during the lockout.

I was coming to post a photo of a zombie golfer here, thinking about how much in bad taste it would be... Searching google.. They have stock photo's of zombie golfers. Jebus bless the googles.

It was a joke about his head injury and then claiming he's good enough to go pro in a sport which is in large part a head game.

Big difference from scratch golfer to pro golfer. Bunch of my buddies are scratch golfers, only one managed to make it pro (Kyle Stoudt).
