confirmed
Re: ATL/PIT THAT JUST HAPPENED
It's funny.. this deal goes done and everyone only wants to talk about my deal. But ftr, if Malkin returns to form I like it a bunch for Shiv. But that's the risk you take and Duchene is a not bad replacement.
Re: ATL/PIT THAT JUST HAPPENED
I think this deal is huge for Shiv... Take away the pick and it's fair IMO. Adding the pick is a sure win for Shiv.

I like this for Luke, I'd much rather Duchene at under 4 million, than Malkin at over 8, the pick doesn't mean much to me, because as many of you know I have no confidence in this draft, top end or otherwise. I would take Boyes and the extras over that pick everyday of the week, and twice on Sundays.
Re: ATL/PIT THAT JUST HAPPENED
I definitely agree with the valuation you give the pick... hence me not really thinking twice about trading my 5th & 6th overall picks. I'm going to reach pretty heavily @ 10 come draft day but it's the player I want.MSP4LYFE wroteCOLONI like this for Luke, I'd much rather Duchene at under 4 million, than Malkin at over 8, the pick doesn't mean much to me, because as many of you know I have no confidence in this draft, top end or otherwise. And Geno's knee is fucked.. but hopefully it works out for both teams.

I put the odds of Shiv using that pick at about 0 percent.

Re: ATL/PIT THAT JUST HAPPENED
I won't say who i'm drafting but this concept of salary making Duchene worth more than Malkin is retarded. By that argument Duchene > Ovechkin too.

Ovechkin's a lot better then Malkin both offensively and in terms of h2h.. also, he hasn't had a major injury like Malkin has.. I really don't see Malkin being the same player for a couple of seasons.. if ever.SuperMario wroteCOLONI won't' say who but this concept of salary making Duchene worth more than Malkin is retarded. Duchene & Malkin are very comparable in terms of h2h

Ovechkin at 9+M regardless of what you say about his hits/pims is worth less than Duchene by Kareem's argument, especially given his recent downturn in goals and points. The Devil wroteCOLONOvechkin's a lot better then Malkin both offensively and in terms of h2h.. also, he hasn't had a major injury like Malkin has.. To your other point about Malkin never being the same is so bogus lol. Malkin will crack 90 points with ease if he plays 75+ games.
