First of all draper is done, then Henrik is the man and he also won the Hart Memorial Trophy last year, Wich I don't believe that Paveslki will ever come close.SuperMario wroteCOLONcan i get a good old Shoalzie breakdown of this? I'm curious.Shoalzie wroteCOLONLove this long time for Chris...
So for that reason alone I love it for Chris.
By the way Thx for the sig....

Re: FLA/PIT LITTLE JOE!
You asked for it...
I think the x-factor is where will Pavelski fit in the Sharks lineup with Setoguchi being moved. If he ends up on the right wing on either the first or second line, I don't think that drops his offensive output but he's not going to win 500 faceoffs like he's done the last two seasons. He'll win some because he's capable but considering Henrik won over 700 the last two seasons...that's not a number you'll get back from Pavelski unless McLellan puts him in the middle of a line. He'll still play in all situations...he puts up solid SHTOI numbers but he's not an overly physical player but you do improve there consider Henrik is toilet paper soft.
Eminger is probably not going to re-sign with the Rangers and hasn't played more than 70 games at any point in his career and is a UFA...his value is kind of up in the air. Draper isn't going to be a Red Wing nor do I really expect him to play so you won't get anything out of him. Those two are non-factors in this deal until Eminger signs with a team.
As much as I don't like the Sedin twins as a whole...you can't find many guys that will post 90-100 points in the league. Henrik being the center and the playmaker, he'll shoot much less and score fewer goals but you get the faceoffs and he's still out there when Daniel is out there will piggyback on his numbers most of the time. He doesn't kill penalties and doesn't put up the peripheral numbers Pavelski does (which isn't that much more) but he's still a premier setup man.
From your standpoint, you don't need Henrik with Crosby and Malkin as your top centers and you still keep Daniel along with Patrick Sharp. Pavelski won't give you the faceoffs he normally will if he plays on the wing most of the time (as I expect) but if he does center the second line and gets around the same number of faceoffs as he racks up, his value goes up. Henrik is an overrated player for the most part but as I said, you don't exactly find 90-100 points guys but if Malkin and Crosby come back for you, it might not matter.
In the context of your team, you can afford to move Henrik. For Chris, he adds a top flight offensive player but I didn't think he paid enough for him. Knowing you and your typical deals, I wouldn't have expected Henrik to go for what you gave up. Chris kinda got him on a discount. You didn't give him 'the Shiv' in this deal when you could've. I don't use the r-word for deals...I just think he got away without paying top dollar.

Re: FLA/PIT LITTLE JOE!
I actually like it for shiv. If he is patient with Joe this is the perfect time to buy. Next year sjs have some big time players to sign, i.e. Burns and Couture, which will likely mean more time for Joe or possibly a change in scenery if sjs goes full retard. Although I feel the hatred for the Sedins is unfair in real life, it's probably warranted here. Very one dimensional players and with AV as coach there is zero chance of that changing.
Re: FLA/PIT LITTLE JOE!
I told Shiv I liked it for him too.. he needed to cut cap anyway and he still landed a very good player.

Yes, he did improve his cap situation...shaved $2.1 million from Henrik to Pavelski.

I agree Shoalzie. IMO the Sedin twins are steals at 6.1M. But Pavelski gives me what my team needs. I don't mind overpaying when I get exactly what i need in return.

Re: FLA/PIT LITTLE JOE!
btw IMO Daniel is the better Twin in BBKL. Henrik only beats him in FOW. Daniel = 40+ goals, more SOG and more GWG. FOW are replaceable.

Re: FLA/PIT LITTLE JOE!
He'll stay exactly where he was this past season IMO, where he put up career # despite playing '3rd' line (even strength), and that allows him to be PP1 (although that might be what changes with Burns), and PK1.Shoalzie wroteCOLONYou asked for it...

False, major mistake to make Shoalzie. In real life that might be true, but the in BBKL if you want to be the best in FOW or apples you cannot win it with 1 or 2 guys. You need to have incredible depth to be the best, if Shiv plans on winning assists and points every week this is a step backwards.Shoalzie wroteCOLON From your standpoint, you don't need Henrik with Crosby and Malkin as your top centers and you still keep Daniel along with Patrick Sharp.
